Events Associate

Summary

Lake Erie Pet Food Co. is hiring a seasonal Events Associate for this summer! We’re passionate about helping pets live long, happy, active lives – and we believe nutrition is incredibly important.

Our ideal candidate is energetic and personable, loves dogs and cats, and can create an exceptional customer experience at our events. They should be extremely reliable and work well independently. The Events Associate will talk knowledgeably about our recipes and delivery options in the fun, vibrant atmosphere of local farmers’ markets and pop-up events and festivals.

Job Description:

Responsibilities

  • Load, set up, take down and return booth, including 10x10 tent weighing approximately 50 pounds
  • Ensure booth looks clean, organized, professional and inviting 
  • Learn about our recipes and recommend the right one for attendees
  • Grow our Lake Erie Pet Food Co. family through our subscription and delivery sales model
  • Build rapport and relationships with regular customers

 Requirements

  • Reliable and punctual with neat, clean appearance
  • Previous experience in retail sales, marketing, or customer service.
  • Valid driver’s license & clean driving record
  • Vehicle can be provided or you can use your own vehicle with mileage reimbursement
  • Smart phone for cash register app 
  • Ability to set up and take down approx. 50 lbs 10x10 event tent.

Days / Hours
This is a seasonal position, consisting of Saturdays in late May thru September.  All events and markets are scheduled in advance.

Outdoor Pop Up Events

  • Typically Saturdays, some Sundays (rare).
  • Event hours are typically 9-3, Work day is typically 8-4 +/-
  • Events will be in the greater Cleveland Area, always within our Delivery Zone
Outdoor Markets
  • Weekly on Saturdays
  • Work Hours are Typically 7:30am - 1:30pm
  • Westlake, Ohio (Crocker Park) is our primary market
  • Other markets are possible depending on your availability & interest
